Sony has announced its next-generation camera image sensors that’s smaller than what it builds now. This means that future iPhones could come out thinner thanks to Sony’s new camera sensors.
Sony, according to reports, supplies camera parts that Apple uses in the iPhone 4S.
Sony said it will be building new image sensors. These are image sensors that could make it to future iPhones, reports Apple Insider.
The new complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (or CMOS) image sensor Sony announced promises better image quality despite its more compact size.
The iPhone’s camera parts are among the thickest parts in the iPhone 4S.
