The new iPad: Are you getting one?

Okay, so Apple has announced the third-generation iPad.

The new iPad has

  • retina display (2048-by-1536-pixel resolution at 264 pixels per inch)
  • a 5-megapixel camera
  • 4G LTE
  • A5x processor

It has the same height, width, and thickness as the previous generation. It also put on some weight, a barely perceptable 50 grams or thereabouts. Battery life is the same at 10 hours:

“Up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music.”

It is available for pre-order. Apple’s website says that if you order now, you can have the brand new iPad in your hands by March 17. Or so.
