How to take a screenshot of a window in OS X

Now here’s something that I’ve found very useful: the capability to take a screen shot of a particular window on a Mac.

It’s so easy to take a screenshot of any open window in OS X. All it takes is a keyboard shortcut to perform.

  1. Press Command+shift+4. Then release.
  2. Press the space bar
  3. Click on the window you want to capture

And that’s it. You should find the screenshot of the window on your desktop. The screenshot is saved in PNG format.
